Central Park Wellness Walk
The focus of my wellness walks is mental and physical wellness and fun. Our goal is to walk at a brisk pace but can adjust according to the group dynamic. The walk will be 3+ miles in 2+ hours, and be about 8K+ steps. There will be some stretching, breathing and will end with a short meditation. We’ll set an intention for the walk and will stop to appreciate the beauty of the park and to explore some of the park’s landmarks. The walk starts with a meet and greet in front of the Plaza Hotel between 58th & 59th Streets. We’ll then do some stretching and breathing exercises nearby to loosen up before the walk. The walk is 3.5 miles, approximately 8k steps and takes about 2 hours. During our walk I’ll share a bit of the park’s history and show you iconic spots such as Poet’s Walk, Model Boat Basin, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, Shakespeare Theatre & Garden, Belvedere Castle, Bethesda Fountain & Terrace, etc. We will end the walk at the Pulitzer Fountain across from the Plaza Hotel. The route may change because I like to mix it up to keep things interesting. We will stop for photos/water/snack and restroom breaks.
